Will Trend Micro™ remove malicious software?
Trend Micro™ will alert you should it detect malicious software on your device and will remove it. The software also detects spam emails and messages containing phishing scams that can trick you into revealing private, personal information. On smartphones, it protects users from threats from apps, emails, images etc. and locates your lost or stolen device, remotely locks it, or wipes it clean
How do I download Trend Micro™?
Login to your Online Banking profile. Next, select the Trend Micro™ link provided towards the bottom middle of your screen to retrieve and view your FREE license key.
Select 'Download' for the software to be installed on your device.
You can use this license key to install Trend Micro™ on up to three devices.
You can also save the license key for when you want to install the software on another device.
If you are not the system administrator, please ask your network administrator for assistance.
Will Trend Trend Micro™ affect my use of the internet?
No. The software is designed to be unobtrusive, letting you know only if a malicious site is identified, by displaying a clear warning message on your screen.
For Windows
Windows XP
Select Start, then select Run. In the Run window, type appwiz.cpl and press Enter on your keyboard.
Windows Vista/Windows 7
Select Start, or the Windows icon. In the Search field, type appwiz.cpl and press Enter on your keyboard.
Windows 8
Move your cursor to the bottom right of the screen to open the Charm Bar menu. Select Search, then type appwiz.cpl and press Enter on your keyboard.
Windows 10
In the Cortana search bar, type appwiz.cpl and press Enter on your keyboard.
This will open your control panel to the list of all programs currently installed on your computer.
Scroll down the programs list until you see the Webroot security product.
Select the Webroot security product entry once to select it, then select Uninstall/Remove.
If you see a message that says, "It is necessary to log in as an administrator to access this feature." select OK.
When asked if you are sure you want to uninstall, select Yes to continue.
If prompted with a CAPTCHA, enter the requested characters and select Enter. Webroot now removes itself from your computer.
For Mac OS X 10.7 and higher
To uninstall Webroot SecureAnywhere, follow the instructions below. Shut down SecureAnywhere by selecting the Webroot icon in the menu bar and selecting 'Shut Down SecureAnywhere'.
If prompted, confirm that you want to shut down SecureAnywhere.
Open the Finder by selecting the Finder icon in the dock.
Open the Applications directory.
Select and drag the Webroot SecureAnywhere program icon into the Trash in the dock.
A confirming window appears. Select Uninstall.
Webroot SecureAnywhere is now uninstalled. There is no need to restart your computer.

Before you can install Trend Micro™ you need to uninstall any other anti-malware software downloaded onto your PC or smart device.
