AA Emergency Roadside Assistance


Never be left stranded again. Linked and Standalone Petro Cardholders receive free automatic AA Emergency Roadside Assistance which provides a helping hand when you experience problems with your vehicle.

Roadside Repair Service

  • Out of fuel - Provision of fuel to a maximum of ten (10) litres (cost of fuel is for cardholder's account)
  • Restarting a flat battery
  • Changing flat tyres
  • Key lock-out service to a maximum of R300 inclusive of VAT

Tow-in Service
For mechanical or electrical vehicle breakdowns.
These services are limited to forty (40) kilometres round trip. Thereafter, the additional kilometres are for the cardholder to pay.

Accident Towing*:
In the event of an accident, the AA's own towing fleet or an accredited tow contractor fleet of the AA will tow your vehicle from the accident scene to the nearest AA Quality Assured body repairer centre or to a client approved panel shop. This service is available 24/7/365 days a year.

*This service is not covered by FNB. The AA will facilitate the service and it will be for the cardholder's cost.

Stand By You

  • Request this service when your car breaks down and an armed security guard will stay with you until the AA patrolman arrives
  • In addition to personal protection, this service reduces the risk of hijacking and vandalism whilst you're on the side of the road
  • The service is only available in certain metropolitan areas

Take Me Home


The FNB Take Me Home service provides a designated driver service to our FNB Standalone Petro Card holders and linked Premier, Private Client and Private Wealth Petro Card holders.

The service is underwritten by EuropAssistance and is designed to get our clients home safely in times that they are not able to drive themselves.

The Take Me Home drivers are equipped with cellphones and will safely transport you and your vehicle to a destination within a 50km radius of city centres in which they operate. Currently this service is available in Durban, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, East London, Pretoria and George.

Benefits

  • Linked Premier and Private Clients Petro Cardholders get access to 6 trips per annum and linked Private Wealth Petro Cardholders get access to 10 trips per annum
  • Available to each Petro card holder and up to a maximum of two guests who can be collected from a single pick-up point and transported to a single drop-off point
  • Additional passengers can be accommodated in larger vehicles, provided there are seatbelts available for each of the passengers in the car

Operating Hours
Bookings are open until 02H00, seven days a week.

Peak Periods & Public Holidays Off-peak Periods
Please book at least 48 hours in advance where possible and no less than 2 hours in advance in the case of last minute arrangements. Peak period times are Thursday evenings to Sunday mornings as well as public holidays (the night before and on the day). Peak periods also apply in instances where major public events, such as sporting events and concerts occur within the service area. Please book at least 1 hour in advance. Off-peak times are Sunday evenings to Thursday mornings.

Additional Charges

  • If the number of annual covered trips are exceeded, the service can still be used at a charge of R450 (excluding VAT) per trip
  • If the trip exceeds 50km, an additional fee will be charged to the card holder's account

  • Bookings can be cancelled up until 60 minutes before the arranged collection time
  • Any booking cancelled within 60 minutes of the collection time will be deducted from the total amount of covered trips per card holder or billed at the full rate

  2. Specify your pick-up point and collection time
  3. Specify your destination drop-off point
  4. Provide a primary and secondary contact number
  5. Provide the registration number, make and colour of the vehicle
  6. Once a pick up point has been arranged, Take Me Home will notify the card holder when the driver arrives. The card holder and guests have 15 minutes to meet the designated driver and begin the trip home

FNB Private Wealth qualifying criteria


As an FNB Private Wealth Account holder, you can enjoy access to the luxurious SLOW and Bidvest Premier Lounges. Make a flight booking for you or your family using eBucks Travel and earn bonus Airport Lounge visits. Go to the eBucks tab on the FNB App to see how many Airport Lounge visits you have available. To access a lounge simply generate a QR code on the FNB App and scan it at the lounge entrance or swipe your qualifying FNB Private Wealth Card.
Complimentary and Bonus visits will be allocated annually from 1 July to 30 June.

All entries into the Lounges are charged for. Your fee will only be reversed if you meet the following criteria:

General rules for Bonus Visits earned through eBucks Travel flight bookings

  • Complimentary Lounge visits received from your eBucks Travel flight bookings will be added to your annual complimentary allocated visits as 'bonus visits'.
  • Bonus visits are subject to General Lounge access rules, including but not limited to
    • Access to Domestic Lounges will be limited to 90 minutes before boarding time
    • Access is subject to availability, according to SLOW & Bidvest Premier Lounge capacity and lockdown safety rules.
  • he cardholder making the booking must be an FNB Private Wealth Account holder and on a qualifying eBucks reward level in order to earn Bonus Visits for themselves and other travelers who are part of the travel booking
  • The Bonus Visits will automatically be added onto your annual visits once your flight booking is made through eBucks Travel.
  • As an FNB Private Wealth cardholder you can earn up to 24 bonus visits per annum, which are applicable to Domestic and International flight bookings.
  • Each traveler in the flight booking can earn Bonus Visits provided that the traveler's FNB or RMB Private Bank account is in good standing and they qualify for eBucks discount (where applicable).
  • A child older than 2 years can earn a Bonus Visit if they hold an FNBy, FNBy Islamic or FNBy Next account. They must be added to the Family Banking Profile of the parent/legal guardian who they are travelling with.
  • When the main account holder books a flight on eBucks Travel for themselves or their Life partner/Spouse or a Travel Companion who meets the qualifying criteria, the Bonus Visit will be allocated to each cardholder's profile from their own allocation of visits for them to use in their own capacity. Children do not have a set allocation. They have the potential to earn up to 24 visits provided that the parent/legal guardian has available visits.
  • Bonus visits can be used by swiping your qualifying bank card or by generating a QR code on the FNB App and scanning it at the Lounge entrance.
  • When the cardholder accesses the Lounge, the Bonus Visits will be depleted first before the annual allocated visits.
  • Bonus visits are valid for use from 7 days before the flight date to 7 days after the flight date.
  • Unused Bonus visits will be re-allocated to your pool of existing Bonus visits, which can be earned again with your next flight booking made with eBucks Travel.
