Capital: 100% or 80% guaranteed (dependent on selected product)

  • When your investment matures, you can enjoy 100% capital guaranteed in USD in both products, should the Index be positive at maturity.
  • If the index is negative, the FNB 100 CapPreserver ensures 100% capital protection at maturity.
    If the index is negative by more than 20%, the FNB 80 CapPreserver ensures 80% capital protection.
    If the index is negative by less than 20%, the FNB 80 CapPreserver ensures a matched reduction in the capital invested. I.e., if the index falls by 4%, the capital guaranteed amount is 96% of the capital invested.

Equity markets exposure

  • Enjoy exposure to the growth of the MSCI World Index over the five-year investment term, through the indicative return range of 5% to 8%.
  • The Indicative return range is multiplied by the applicable autocall year multiplied by 5 at maturity.
  • Redeem your investment early through the autocall payoff strategy. The autocall period begins in year three with an annual observation frequency to maturity.

Note, if the index is not above the auto call barrier in year 3, the next observation will be triggered in year 4. If index is up, you will receive 100% + 4 the indicative return and so forth for year 5. In year five however, if the index is negative, you will receive your capital guarantees without the indicative return.

 

Invest through your portfolio manager or wealth manager

Step 1: To find out more about the FNB 100% Capital Guaranteed Snowball Autocall, speak to your portfolio manager or wealth manager. During this stage of the process, your advisor will discuss the available options and guide you as to whether this product is best suited to your investment needs.

Step 2: Your respective advisor will help you complete the application process and ensure that all the requirements are met to enable the investment to be processed.

Step 3: Leave your investment to mature for five years.

We will let you know when your investment is active. Please note: if funds are not available in your account on the date of trade, your trade will not be placed and automatically cancelled.

 

Qualifying criteria

  • Individual: minimum income of R25 000 per month
  • Joint application: at least one of the individuals must earn a minimum of R25 000 per month
  • Be 18 years or older
  • Have a clear credit record
  • Meet the affordability criteria
  • Have the legal capacity to sign a contract

 

Documents required

  • South African ID book/card
  • Proof of income (if self-employed, 5 years' of business financial statements are required)
  • 6 months' bank statements (if non-FNB customer)
  • Proof of residence (municipal bill/Telkom account/income tax form) or proof of housing subsidy (if relevant)
  • An IRP5 for proof of other income sources
  • A proof of residence certificate if relevant

 

Unbonded property

  • An initiation fee will be applicable, and your home loan will be priced accordingly
  • It is a requirement to pay your home loan by debit order or salary stop order
  • You may avail of a value proposition if FNB grants such on this offering at the time of application
  • You must be in possession of an original Title Deed which contains the client's details to qualify for this offering
  • The bank will not be liable for any costs associated with recovering or replacing an original Title Deed, these costs will be for your account
  • You must apply for and have a mortgage bond registered for a minimum amount of R200 000

Do I qualify?

The unbonded product offering is not available to

  • Juristic entities which are trading
  • Applications for vacant land financing
  • Applications for properties not intended for residential use
  • Clients who have a loan product with the bank that is subject to a debt review consent order or a debit review restructuring payment plan
  • Foreign national or non-resident clients
