Limits on FNB eWallet

There is a daily limit of R1 500 per day for Send Money transactions from each of the following channels: Online Banking, Cellphone banking or FNB Banking App. The R1 500 limit includes the following transactions:

Reduced limits - SIM swap

If a Cellphone user has recently performed a SIM swap and wishes to Send Money with eWallet using FNB Cellphone Banking, the Send Money process will be different. During the Send Money process on the *120*321# platform, the Sender will be requested to enter their FNB Cheque Card details (the last 4 digits of their card and ATM PIN.)

In addition, the FNB Cellphone Banking limit (including Prepaid and Send Money) will be reduced to R200 per day for 72 hours. After the 72 hour waiting period, normal limits will be restored. This limit is imposed as a security measure to protect the funds in the eWallet.

FNB eWallet Balance

The balance in an FNB eWallet may not exceed R3 000 at any given time. Any Send Money transaction which may cause an eWallet balance to exceed R3000 will be declined. The Sender is responsible for ensuring that the eWallet balance will not be exceeded.
